Farmers in Iowa and elsewhere are expected to plant a record number of soybean acres this spring…but not as many acres of corn. USDA says corn planting is down two percent, while soybean planting is up by a percent to 84.6 million acres. The difference is corn prices have dipped more than soybean prices, and soybeans cost less to grow.
