Road construction projects heat up with summer

Iowa’s transportation department has lined up a record 700-million dollars’ worth of construction projects this year, thanks to the additional funds provided by the increase in the gas tax.  The dime-a-gallon hike is also providing cities and counties with an extra 200 million dollars to repair aging bridges and fix potholes.
