The Battle For Jersey! Even though NBN has a few years on LOTU, I think this would be a surprisingly hard battle to score. For the sake of style, Onyx and MOP are also good groups to face LOTU (Maybe Onyx V MOP?). For the sake of Jersey, we also cant forget about Fugees and SugarHill. I think those matchups still might fit elsewhere.

Kool Keith V Del The Funky Homosapien
The Battle Of The Underground Style! This by far my favorite that NOBODY (but me) is talking about. They both have beginnings with incredible groups (Heiroglyphics/Ultramagnetic MCs). They also share a similar experimental solo style, which Dan The Automator pushed forward for both of them. Does Del’s Gorillaz track get him an auto W?

The Roots V Arrested Development
The Battle Of The Hip-Hop Bands! I don’t think I have to tell you why this would be awesome. I also have to shoutout Stetsasonic, the first Hip-Hop band. Dont worry, Prince Paul is up next.

Prince Paul V Pete Rock
I’ve seen Pete Rock’s name against several producers, but I think this is the matchup to send to VERZUZ. It’ll be tough to face Pete Rock, but Prince Paul might have the tracks to content with one of the best.

Just Blaze V 9th Wonder
Another pair of producer’s I’ve seen, but not together. I think stylistically, and catalog wise, this is the matchup to see. Oh, and they also both produced on Jay-Z’s The Black Album.

DJ Quik V Warren G
The G-FUNK Battle! Another name I’ve seen thrown around is DJ Quick. Some want him to face DJ Muggs (he’s next btw), but I think he needs to face another Producer/MC. Enter Warren G! I haven’t seen his name yet, and if VERZUZ takes this matchup, the G-FUNK hits won’t stop coming!

DJ Muggs V Daz Dillinger
Here’s DJ Muggs, his catalog is one of the most underrated. Enter Daz! Another GIANT west-coast (and beyond) catalog. This is also getting close to Cypress Hill V Dogg Pound, which I am also not against!
